Our Mission

Advancing education and relieving poverty for the public benefit in Egypt.

Mission Statement

A clear purpose, written into our governing document.

Green Valley Relief Foundation exists to advance education and relieve poverty for the public benefit in Egypt. We work with and for children and young people, the elderly, and people with disabilities — removing barriers to learning, meeting basic needs, and helping communities build a more secure future.

These charitable objectives are enshrined in our constitution and are the sole basis on which we operate. Every programme we fund, every service we provide, and every decision the trustees make must further one or both of these objectives, for the public benefit, in line with the Charity Commission’s guidance.

How We Pursue Our Mission

Six programme areas, as classified on the UK Charity Commission register.

Makes Grants to Individuals

Who We Serve

We focus our resources on the groups facing the deepest barriers.

Children & Young People Elderly People People with Disabilities General Public in Egypt

A child who cannot afford school, an older person without essential care, or a person with a disability excluded from community life — these are the situations our work is designed to change. Every programme is built around a specific, identified need in the communities we serve.

Our operations extend throughout Egypt, coordinated from our registered office in London, United Kingdom.

Public Benefit

How we ensure our work serves the public, not private, interest.

Under the Charities Act, every registered charity in England and Wales must demonstrate that its purposes are for the public benefit. Our trustees take this duty seriously and review it in line with the Charity Commission’s published public benefit guidance.

In practice this means:

  • The benefits of our work are clearly identifiable and related to our charitable purposes.
  • Our beneficiaries are defined by genuine need, not by private connection to the charity.
  • Any private benefit arising from our activities is incidental and necessary to deliver the public benefit.

We do not support any private commercial purpose, political party, or individual private gain. Decisions are made by the board of trustees acting in the charity’s best interests, and our reporting with the Charity Commission is kept up to date.
